Coldroom supply and installation
Coldroom supply and installation
Two large coldrooms and a freezer room were designed, supplied and constructed to support increased storage capacity. The project included complete refrigeration systems, an insulated freezer-room floor and subfloor heating to help prevent frost heave. Ocean Air Mackay coordinated the concreting and electrical work, giving the customer one point of contact from planning through to completion.
Commercial package air conditioning
Package unit replacement
Two ageing rooftop package air-conditioning units were replaced after becoming inefficient and heavily corroded. Ocean Air Mackay installed new Actron Air inverter package units and manufactured sheet-metal ductwork to suit the revised configuration, with the changeover planned to minimise disruption and downtime.

Refrigeration installations
These examples show two different refrigeration projects: a smaller coldroom and freezer for a local café, and a large multi-room cold store. Ocean Air Mackay worked with each customer to understand their storage requirements before selecting refrigeration equipment suited to the capacity and operation of the site.
VRV/VRF ducted air conditioning
Bespoke commercial air-conditioning upgrade
An ageing Carrier ducted system was replaced with a bespoke Daikin VRV solution. Two 25 kW indoor units replaced the existing single 48 kW system. Ocean Air Mackay modified the units to operate in a vertical configuration, allowing them to fit the existing plant room and connect to the current ceiling ductwork. The design also provides straightforward future access for servicing.
Ventilation and temperature control
Pump room ventilation
Roof-mounted exhaust fans were supplied and installed to improve ventilation and temperature control inside a commercial pump room. The fans were connected to a temperature controller to switch them on and off at set internal temperatures. Existing air inlets were modified to direct incoming air downwards, improving air mixing and airflow.
